Freddie leads the Engineering Biology for Agriculture Team at Rothamsted Research, where she also directs Green Engineering—a UK government–funded strategic programme developing high-value products in crops. She holds a BA in Botany and a DPhil in Plant Biochemistry (University of Oxford).
