Platform Technology

Metabolic activators.
Biologically powerful.
Practically unusable.

Plants produce powerful compounds to regulate energy use and stress responses. But many of these molecules are highly charged, immobile, and localised. This makes them impossible to deliver externally, using foliar sprays.

That’s the problem we’ve solved.

By attaching a temporary chemical ‘cage’ to these molecules, we make them plant-permeable. This enables absorption through the leaf and transport into plant cells.

Once inside the cell, the ‘cage’ is cleaved off, releasing the active compound in its natural form to trigger specific metabolic responses, and deliver measurable results for farmers.

A simple solution to a complex delivery problem. Executed with scientific precision.

This platform technology was developed by researchers at the University of Oxford and Rothamsted Research, and is protected by a robust patent portfolio. As their spin-out, we hold exclusive global rights to the IP.

Step 1

Biological target

We select a natural plant molecule with scientifically proven physiological role.

Step 2

Chemical synthesis

We create a proprietary version of that molecule that includes a ‘cage’ to mask its charge.

Step 3

Product application

Farmers spray our product on the crop and the proprietary molecule travels into the plant cell.

Step 4

Biostimulant activation

Inside the cells, the ‘cage’ is cleaved off releasing the plant molecule in its functional form.

Step 5

Triggering response

The plant molecule hits its biological target activating the desired metabolic pathway.
